Other than interceding for Kuwait, was there a conflict during his term?

The nazi party spread influence around the middle east and north africa, which insprired Iraq's Baath party. The Baath party led a overthrow against the seated, and well liked government. They used a similar platform of nationalism to raise the 6th largest army in the world. They used that army to attack every neighbor they had, using chemical and biological (WMD's - for your buzzword) weapons on Iran, and their own people. Using that same army, they ran mass executions and torture tactics on their own citizens. They Executed the kurdish, enslaved the shia, and made most of the senior sunni rich for the purpose of military might and gain. They pursued nuclear weapons multiple times, to include a complete reactor in which Israel had to destroy it in the early 1980's. Even after defeat in 1991 and UN sanctions, the starvation and mass killing of iraqis never stopped, and the continual threat of Sadaam using his power to attack peaceful neighbors persisted. He also paid support to palastinian terror organizations, and allowed weapons and cash to be funneled thru iraq to support militant terror groups. Want me to do Afghanistan next? Its a shorter list. Before this becomes a history pissing match, ill save you the argument: Are we perfect? Fuck no. Do we generally try to appeal to the whole world for answers before we have to take on the problem? Yes, there are countless examples - n korea, venezula, peru, georgia, somalian piracy, yemen.... This could go on. could we spend the money at home? Sure, but national security has alot to do with prosperity and not just standing on a wall around the borders. -~Elvis has left the building. |

Re: Rules of Engagement
WikiLeaks, which published reports about secret U.S. in Afghanistan, did the same to the guard in Iraq.
Secret documents produced by the GNR in the Iraq War in 2004 that are still in military secrecy, were available at the site WikiLeaks, the same as recently released reports on the falling U.S. intervention in Afghanistan. Reports about al-Qaeda, the actions of "secret" Iranian (See text below), photographs of ammunition from terrorist organizations, sketches, mortars and even references to the political choices of Tony Blair, contained in classified documents that agreed yesterday at the DN Internet. The official spokesman of the GNR devalues this "leak" of classified material unprecedented and warrants until the GNR "had knowledge" that the documents were lost in the Net "since early 2009." But the gravity of the situation resulted, according to the same source, an analysis under the microscope of the contents of the reports. However, it was concluded that, "since it has already spent six years of events, they do not contain strategic information particularly relevant." He adds: "When the documents went to the Web any of the forces involved in this mission of international peace was also in Iraq." However, is to know the exact date that the reports were "drawn" to the officer that they had access to organizations and how that did not compromise the international mission. The DN knew that such reports were produced by the same officer, a captain of cavalry. This was part of a cell, called G2, the Staff Member of MSU (Specialized Multinational Unit) in Nasiriyah. Its function was to process the information collected on the ground by "secret" of the countries present in the operation concerning terrorist threats and political and social situation. The reports consist of a summary of the analysis made by the 'secret' British and Italian officers who were on the ground, since Portugal has not said "spies" to Iraqi soil. The official GNR limited to translate and summarize the information produced and which were shared in cell G2 of the General Staff. According to a spokesman for the GNR, having taken note of the "flight", the command-general ordered an investigation to find out what could have been failures in safety procedures by the officer, which caused the documents were diverted and then disclosed. "Nothing has been detected that could compromise the action of the officer," ensures the GNR. The documents make no analysis to the Portuguese mission and this fact reassured both the GNR or the actual Service of Defense Strategic Information (SIED) which was also involved in assessing damage to public knowledge of these reports could have for Portugal. The only reference made to the strength of the GNR, the alpha sub grouping is on the inactivation of a car bomb south of Nasiriya. It was on November 5, 2004, at 08:14. An Italian patrol detected a suspected car stopped and called the team inactivation of explosives of the GNR, the only force that MSU had this value. At the site confirmed that it was a car bomb ready to explode in a busy area. The Portuguese military deactivated and removed the explosives. In the U.S., by WikiLeaks disclosure of secret documents about the military operation in Afghanistan is causing controversy, from descriptions of civilian deaths. (See page 28.). The ministries of Defence and Internal Affairs would not comment. Now, will someone explain to me WTF was Wikileaks expecting with this shit? Getting myself and my teammates killed? Re: Rules of Engagement
GOOOOOOO WIKILEAKS... NICE JOB.... grrrrrrrrr
In the 92 000 documents released this week by Wikileaks, in the series "Reports of War", are stories to suit all tastes. With greater or lesser degree of novelty news, clears up the dual role of Pakistan are proving to be operational errors of U.S. troops and discover - if new arsenal of the Taliban. But there are also the names and addresses of Afghans who cooperate with NATO in the war. And as a country like Afghanistan maps can not be much help to add the GPS coordinates of the employees. Unlike the first, the newspapers did not publish this information, but they are available online and are the delight of the Taliban. "We will study the documents," said yesterday the group's spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, who added: "If there are American spies, now we know how to punish them." Amid the biggest leak of recent American history, it is confirmed one of the worst prospects of military decision-makers in Washington regarding the safety of contacts Afghan allies. "I spent part of my life in the information services and one of the sacrosanct principles is to protect sources," he said late on Thursday Robert Gates, the man who headed the CIA before moving to the commands of the Department of Defense. In an extremely difficult theater of operations, where the conquest of the "hearts and souls" Afghanistan is a centerpiece, the leak announces irreparable harm to U.S. forces. If cooperation with allies was already risky mission for Afghans - mainly based on the element of trust - even more now. "If I were Afghan work for American soldiers risking that I cut off the ears or head?" Wonders if the former CIA field operative Robert Baer in "Politico." Yesterday the man who along with Julian Assange manages Wikileaks, the Berlin Daniel Schmitt, showed - is proud of the work site that lets enterprises and governments with attacks of nerves: "We are changing the game," said the specialist technologies info 32 years. Quite different opinion is chief of all American, Mike Mullen. "Mr Assange can say what you will about the greater good that he and his source say they do. The truth is that this time must have their hands stained with the blood of a soldier or an Afghan family." At the Pentagon the idea is to lead the investigation into the leakage of information to its logical conclusion - the FBI has joined the efforts that have as their only suspect the soldier Bradley Manning - but it is clear that no one knows for sure if the Wikileaks may be targeted of a criminal investigation. And why? Steve Myers explains in the "Poynter." "Assange found to be homeless on the Internet means being able to go the game without being subject to the rules for anybody." -You dont got the balls.... just stay inside...

Re: Rules of Engagement
This reminds me of back in the 80's when we caught that Father/Son espionage team here in the USA. The son was on a Naval ship and worked in the area where they incinerate all the information that should be destroyed immediately.
I wouldnt be to surprised when ( and I doubt that this will ever be public knowledge) the Army and the Pentagon find out how it was leaked. Neck and I were pissed when the vid this fucker released of the helicopter footage was released. I havent even attempted to go to Wiki leaks to see the docs. I do not want too be one of the people that Home Land Security ( why does this name ring NAZI in my head) meets at the door, asking too see my computer. I feel regret and sorrow for the families of the Aphganisani's who helped the USA. I can only hope that they put this fucker in front of a firing line and glue his eyes open when they shoot him. Here are some links I found about the subject 1) US Code #794 Gathering or delivering defense information to aid foreign government. ( dont look at the source of the info just read) http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/ht...4----000-.html 2) United States Attorney Manuel #76 Death Penalty Evaluation Form for Espionage and Treason Criminal Resource Manual 76 Death Penalty Evaluation Form for Espionage and Treason -Wooch
